The Atlas of the Emotional Brain is an interactive artefact that aims to map where 10 emotions take place in the human brain: happiness, anger, sadness, depression, surprise, fear, pleasure, pain, anxiety and stress. All the emotion maps were screen-printed and can be stored in an acrylic case which provides context to the emotional maps.
An additional poster is used as key to relate each brain with its emotion and give additional information about the parts of the brain taking part in its processing. The A1 poster was screen-printed as 3 layers.
This project was inspired by PET scans, usually used to track the activity of certain metabolic processes happening in the human body, a very innovative way to map human anatomy.
